By using innovative production methods, Meinl managed to keep the natural sound of the rubberwood shell intact. Thanks to the Floatune Tuning system, the hardware is not mounted directly to the shell, meaning no holes have had to be drilled in it and its resonance is not hampered. This ensures a rich tone and the true, natural conga sound.
Meinl FL12NT Floatune Conga
The FL12NT's shell consists of two plies of high-quality rubberwood, and the buffalo hide drumhead provides a powerful boost. Partly because of the conga's 12-inch diameter, mid-range and low frequencies really stand out. Finally, it features a gorgeous high-gloss finish and chrome hardware. That's a lot of quality for such a low price!
